recent years, soil pollution incidents occurred frequently in china,
causing various types of poisoning or a variety of human diseases. the
problem has aroused widespread concern among the public. in the pursuit
of our own development, china sam is willing to take social
responsibility and to make employees establish the awareness of
environmental protection, understand why soil pollution is generated,
what harm soil pollution will bring, how to effectively avoid it and
expand the influence of environmental protection propaganda. on october
26, 2015, china sam invited dr. wang ligang, deputy chief engineer at
sam environmental protection technology, to bring staff a popular
science training titled “china’s current soil pollution, remediation
technology and industry outlook”.
dr. wang ligang shared his insights from five aspects: soil pollution remediation and control situations, countermeasures, problems, standards and business conditions and project cases. nearly two hours of learning made everyone have a better understanding of soil pollution causes and harms, and a rudimentary understanding of soil pollution in china, current soil remediation technology, china’s soil remediation industry and existing problems.
at the end of the lecture, the participants had a lively discussion and exchange on the learned knowledge, expressed their respective understanding and views on environmental protection, and hoped for more knowledge sharing in the future so as to improve their own accomplishment in environmental protection and make contribution, even modest, to the progress in environmental protection.
