on march 3, 2021, the lng storage and distribution station project invested and constructed by jiangsu honghai energy co., ltd., controlled by zhongxing tianheng energy technology (beijing) co., ltd. (stock code: 600856), officially started the drying replacement project. the tank is the first largest lng storage one with metallic wall covered both sides in china. the outer diameter of the tank is 60m, the inner one is 58m and the height is 50m. the material of both inner and outer of the tank are made of domestic low-temperature ni9 steel.

the purpose of the drying replacement was to reduce the inner dew point and oxygen content of the storage tank, so as to prevent the risks caused by the mixed air and the water freezing at the low temperature when the lng first entered into the tank. the air source for tank drying replacement was provided by the leased skid-mounted oil-free screw air compressor, micro-thermal regenerative dryer and psa nitrogen system. the continuous displacement mode of charging and pressure relief were adopted for the inner tank and annular space of the tank. when the dew point reached the control requirements, nitrogen was filled in the inner tank and annular space at the same time, while the tank pressure was keeping at 3kpa.
